Thursdays in the chat Tony set up for us in last week's resources. See
you tonight!

Brian, I put a copy of my teleport object on the roof in your area so
you can take a copy and use the script. You simply change the coordinates
to give the script the info as to where to teleport. It works best if you
don't teleport too far. Up a level worked fine. Let me know if you
have trouble getting it to teleport where you want it to. It was a bit
"touchy" in that regard. –Pam

I found a site with a lot of good beginning tutorials. It might
be a good addition to the welcome area. https://sites.google.com/site/munigov20/Home/second-life/second-life-orientation

I was
attempting to take a look at the script for Pam's teleport, but found that it
was coded as no copy, no modify. Would it be possible to unlock these so
that I could take a look at the script and alter the location point it teleports
to?
This experience brought up the
question on how accessible do we want our informational center? Should we
leave all of our scripts available for copying? If we keep the modify
locked I believe we would not have to worry about someone coming in and
accidentally destroying one of our objects. Yet, it would provide future
students with a pre-existing example to study and modify on their own. Or
would this be providing a future student with too much information?
Something we might want to consider in our discussion tonight.

In my
attempt to try teleporting to the pool I went for a swim. Fun times I
know! However, I am now stuck in the pool. Learning by accident
right. So I have two options I could build a ladder or create a pool with
a slanted bottom (usual 2 feet in shallow water to 5 feet deep) with steps to
the exit? What do you think?
