There are several hot topics that are being debated concerning the issue of intellectual property.  The questions posed could be considered an opportunity or a challenge.  The following questions are debatable:

• Who owns what?
• How do you know they own it?
• What criteria are in place that determines the credibility of the creator?
• Can intellectual property be used without appropriate actions?
• What criteria distinguish useful information from garbage?
• How effective are programs that teach students to utilize information properly?
• Due to the new technologies available, are people’s intellectual property increased?  Does this affect the quality of the work?
