As we towards a global community that is linked by technology, we will have to reevaluate the old ideas about intellectual property.  As we communicate and share ideas more often and in new ways, intellectual property and what it means to own an idea will have to be rethought.  Copyright laws affect more and more of us as we have easier access to the creative works of others and a forum to post our own creative works.  There are opportunities to engage and challenges to face; but ultimately we, the global community, will have to work together to redefine what it means to “own” an idea.
